It's Not My Fault

What is it with society today and its need to find someone to blame.  And why is it that I always seem to be that scapegoat?  For those of you that are confused I shall elaborate.  As was mentioned in Jays’s rant college life is indeed a pursuit of entertainment from an otherwise boring and stressful week of work.  So, when my dear friend Jay and I went to Hot Springs to see the wonderful singing performance of Leigh Anne, I naturally knew a good time was to be had.  After she was done singing for the four of us (Jay, Leigh Anne, Jen, and myself) went walking around Hot Springs looking for the previously mentioned relief of boredom.  At was at this time that I noticed an odd thing in our surroundings.  I know that the picture doesn’t quite show this very well but the buck statue is in the middle of the street. Right there in the middle of this downtown area is this odd and somewhat out of place statue in the middle of a four lane road.  In an effort to amuse my fellow cohorts I suggested that Jay take a picture of me SITTING on top of the deer, however when I got to it I found that the statue is made of thin and hollow materials. Now, I am not the lightest man to ever walk this earth so when I turned to ask Jay what to do he gave me a suggestion not of my own.  Added to that was the encouragement of the women so naturally I gave them the laugh that they need at the expense of my own pride.  That’s right, instead of bringing everyone down I took a shot at myself and brought a smile to others that would have you believe me to be some kind of diseased pervert for “defaming” a stupid statue.  As for the picture of me “mentally hitting the gorilla”, well in my defense it was right there in the window.  All I did was point out a humorous object that I had nothing to do with what-so-ever. There have also been reports that I keep people up late and that their subsequent lack of sleep is also my fault. This is obviously a lie as I have never kept anyone up past the point when they wanted to go to bed. I am after all a most courteous and well mannered individual and always let people go to bed when they are tired.  I hope that during this course of this post that I have managed to explain what might have seemed like compromising situations for the innocent humor bringing events that they were.
