In college life
there are some things that you can hold as constant. Monday's always start
before you want them to and Friday's never come soon enough. The weekends
however, for those of you who don’t go home all the time, are when most of
the fun happens. I will demonstrate this point by recounting the previous
weekend’s actives. The groups P.R. directors, namely Jay and the Coloradan,
decided that “Once upon a time in Mexico” was an acceptable relief from our
usual mundane happenings of the week. Little did I know what was to happen
on this trip. On the way to the Rave, a very upscale movie theater near
Little Rock, one of the members of the caravan of cars thought it would be
hilarious to perform a drive-by mooning. This attack was gracefully
executed and a good laugh was had by all. However, those that were the prey
of this masterful joke were not as amused as those who performed it. Their
counterstrike was an act so heinous that to my dying day I shall never
forget it. Jay slowed his car and motioned for the car I was riding in to
come closer. By the time that we noticed our mistake it was too late.
Before us rose a full moon of such pasty white horror that it could only
belong to Paul. After finally reaching our destination we did that which we
set out to do, and came to the conclusion that not all movies are worth the
drive to see. The movie was one long, bad joke and in the interest of
sparing those that still want to see I shall stop there. And that was just
Friday night. Saturday’s and Sunday’s can usually be spent playing rounds
of DDR or other games, and the obligatory MST3King of any movie that strikes
our fancy. This weekend we all gathered at Bucky’s place where “Buckette”
made this amazing dinner for all of us. While there, we entertained each
other by recounting humorous of the week gone by and by show all that
haven’t seen them the GI-Joe parodies on
eBaum's
World . From there it was time to once again go to the Rave and see
Underworld. This was a great action movie about werewolves and vamps that I
would recommend to any who like this genre of film. The moral of this
seemed rambling of thought is this: Don’t go home every weekend. Live and
enjoy the weekends when you have nothing else better to do for these are the
times you will remember for the rest of your life.
