Staff Pictures

One of the first assignments I had when I started this job was to update the photos on our Staff page.  Well one of our technicians refused to have her picture taken on the day I was taking pictures.  Well I showed her...hehe....  I snapped a mugshot of her when she least suspected it, then I got another Technician (who happened to be quite a bit larger than her) to pose for me in her same position.  Finally I replaced his head with hers and posted it on website.  But I made the picture look too real, and people who didn't know this particular Technician thought she was 50 pounds heavier than she really was.  After getting tired of being complemented on  how much weight she had lost she posed for me and I took a real picture of her and posted it instead. Once the other staff members found out I could edit their pictures in Photoshop, I was bombarded with requests to give them each a funny picture of themselves.  So armed with my trusty digital camera I went out and and started shooting.  Once I got the pictures in Photoshop I went to work.  Every person has qualities about them that I decided to exaggerate to in their pictures to reach the desired effect.  Unfortunately very few people get to see these pictures, since not many people go to our staff page.  Also, my "edited" pictures are hidden on the page!  What most people don't realize is if you click on each staff members "regular" picture (which I also took) you get their "funny" picture.  When I created each funny picture I tried not to make them look *extremely* real. You should be able to tell that the pictures are faked, just because the last thing we need is people really thinking our Technicians are green with pointy ears and so on.  Also, most of the pictures are inside jokes, some are just outright funny at sight, others you will look at and wonder what is so funny about the picture.  Ironically the only staff member without a picture on the site is me. I just never got around to creating one for myself.  Plus, it works better if someone else creates a funny picture of me since I don't want to pick my own "funny" quality to exaggerate.  

Just in case you didn't catch all the instructions in the above paragraph, here they are again. 

1.Go to http://www.hsu.edu/dept/ccs/staff.html
2. Look at all the staff members "regular" pictures
3. Click on each picture for the "funny" picture.

*note* not every picture is a funny one, some just have been edited to have a different background
