PRACTICE-ANIME

Sometimes at work I get bored.  There are only so many websites you can visit in a day, and they won't take up the entire 4 hours.  So one day I got this crazy idea. "Why not be productive at work!". Wow!   I have all these great artistic programs at my disposal, and here I am reading about movies that aren't coming for 5 months.  So I brought a sketch pad to the office one day and went off on a search of what to draw.  I found pictures that interested me, pictures with styles I wish to learn.  And by drawing them it helps me to create my own style.  I will never fully claim any of the following pictures as being mine, someone had to create the original that I looked off of.  Each of these drawings I had something to look at, and draw from.  Each original picture was my teacher, they never said anything but the just stayed there eager to show me the ways.  Note: I NEVER traced the pictures, I drew this picture with the skills I learned at college. I looked at each piece on the computer screen and drew it proportionally on my page.  Just like I would any still life picture.  So you may say to yourself, well he didn't really draw them, but I did. I just didn't come up with the idea first.  And I'm fine with that. Almost any profession does the same thing. You learn techniques by doing what others before you had done.  As a musician you listen to earlier works like  Beethoven and Mozart, and then learn their chord progressions and techniques. Even mainstream bands start out "covering" songs rather than writing original songs themselves.  Thus I am doing the same, by drawing what I see and learning how people before me created art.  And after enough practice I will have the rudiments to create my own style, and be able to create picture just as good as these, but from my own mind.  Of course credit will be given where it is due, I will always try to tell you who drew the original picture and/or where to find it.  So before I spout out another artistic rant,  go and enjoy each  piece!
